HARRY
MURDOCH

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Tell us about yourself, where you’re from, your age etc:

My name is Harrison Murdoch, I am 22 and from Bondi beach, Sydney. I am a full time student at The National Art school completing my final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts. You will find me in my spare time making art, at the beach or with friends.

What is your artistic process?:

My process usually starts with some sort of spark of inspiration whether that be from music, walking in the street or something from a dream. Then ill start with sketching some rough ideas then go from there.

How does your work reference ‘Street’:

My art has a clear street art reference across most of my work. I tend to lean towards somewhat of a graphic and expressive style with bright colours and patterns.

What medium(s) do you use?:

I often use digital programs to create a lot of my work, which I then make into prints. I also use acrylic paints and sometimes oils.

How did you start/ Who inspires you and your work?:

I have always loved creating/ drawing since I can remember, so I've always been doing it to some extent. I knew I really wanted to pursue a career in art after my travels through Europe in 2017/2018. The street art throughout Berlin and parts of Spain inspired me to see where I could take my own passion for art.

Where can we find your work? Social Media/Website?:

You can see my work at @harrymurdochart on Instagram. You can also view and purchase my art through my website www.harrymurdochart.com

What do you plan to do in the future?

My rough plan is just to keep making art and pushing myself to new levels in my art practice. I am looking to move to Melbourne at the end of my degree to connect with new artists.
